Concept proposal: “Where the wind blows” is an installation of hundreds of wind vanes. A wind vane, weather vane, or weathercock is an instrument for showing the direction of the wind. The installation makes up a “flock of birds” and intends to bring the attention to nature (birds and the wind) back into our urban city space. The visitors and locals would be able to interact with the installation of periodically placed wind vanes and walk through the “forest” like installation and watch the wind vanes slowly changing their direction.
